The Illuminated Boulevards
On the main avenues, the design utilizes light to enhance the urban perspective. We treated the central medians as glowing corridors, uniformly wrapping the trees in warm-white strings.
This creates a rhythmic, visual procession that stretches into the distance, guiding traffic towards the city center with grand elegance.
A Ceiling of Celebration
In the commercial districts, the scale becomes more intimate. We lowered the visual horizon by suspending festoons across the street to form a ‘ceiling’ of light.
Adorned with oversized red bows and shimmering gold spheres, these decorations transform the open road into a festive hallway, encouraging a cozy, pedestrian-friendly atmosphere.
Kinetic Winter Magic
In the heart of the square, the lighting creates a moment of winter magic. We treated this massive tree as a living sculpture, wrapping its trunk in warm golden coils to highlight its architectural form.
To add life and movement, cascading ‘meteor’ tubes were suspended from the canopy; their dynamic, falling light mimics the effect of gentle snowfall, creating a mesmerizing kinetic display that captivates passersby
Ultimately, the Limassol lighting project demonstrates how thoughtful design can redefine an urban landscape. By harmonizing grand scale gestures with intimate, handcrafted details, we turned the city center into a vibrant, cohesive destination.
